Javier Garibaldi is an Argentinian-born, self-taught sculptor living and working on Kaurna Land in Adelaide.
Initially trained as a builder, he has also contributed to educational and mentoring projects with young people across Australia.
His work reflects a close engagement with nature and a persistent curiosity for exploration, driven by a hands-on approach.
Combining traditional and experimental techniques, Garibaldi creates abstract stone sculptures that investigate the tension between body, material, and gesture.
Influenced by European modernism, abstraction, and constructivism, he sources his stones from across Australia. His work has been exhibited widely and acquired by private collectors.
