Javier Garibaldi is an Argentinian-born self taught artist based on the Gold Coast.
Initially trained as a builder, his career has lead him to educational and mentoring projects involving youths from Australia.
His pieces display a love for nature and a relentless curiosity for exploration while employing a hands-on approach.
Incorporating various techniques, Garibaldi creates abstract forms that explore the interplay of force and contra-force between the body and materials.
Inspired by European modernism, abstraction, and constructivism, his rocks are sourced from across Australia.
